The members are those who, convinced of their vocation to religious brotherhood, have consecrated themselves to God by professing the evangelical Counsels. United in their call to fraternity, they follow Christ in simplicity, humility and compassionate service to humanity. The various ministries and apostolic works of the Institute are coordinated and guided by the community.

The mission of the Institute of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus spans across seven states in India, with several communities established to effectively carry out its diverse ministries. These include 15 communities under the Generalate, 15 communities under Angelo Province, and 15 communities under Caussanel Province. Additionally, the Institute has 3 communities in the North Mission, 3 communities in the Bala Yesu Mission, and 1 community in the Frontier Mission France, bringing the total number of communities to 49. United by a shared commitment to the Institute's mission, these communities continue to live out the vision set forth by the Founder
